From the task to the result
- 01
The task
Reconstruct an operating 110/35/10 kV substation, replacing the power transformers with 40,000 kVA units, and fully renew the switchgear of all voltage classes.
- 02
Project context
The substation stands in a built-up area of Tashkent, in the Almazar district, and supplies city consumers over 35, 10 and 6 kV lines. The new transformers increase the capacity available to the district.
- 03
BIONIKA solution
110 kV outdoor switchyard to scheme 110-4N on block-type equipment, two new light-gauge steel buildings — 35 kV indoor switchgear and 6–10 kV indoor switchgear combined with the control building — and a new relay protection and automation system. BIONIKA carried out the whole cycle of works on site.
- 04
Manufacturing
Made and supplied for the site: 110 kV outdoor switchyard blocks (disconnectors, circuit breakers, CTs, VTs, surge arresters, neutral earthing switches), rigid 110 and 10 kV busbars, 10 KYN61-35 kV cells, 36 K-104 6–10 kV cells, relay protection and automation cabinets for transformers and lines, metering, central signalling, auxiliary supply and DC system cabinets.
- 05
Installation
Replacement of the 40,000 kVA power transformers, installation of 110 kV switchyard blocks and busbars, assembly of indoor switchgear buildings from light-gauge steel, installation of 35 and 6–10 kV cells, relay protection cabinets in the control building and cable structures.
- 06
Commissioning
Checks of secondary circuits, setting of protection and automation for transformers, 35 kV lines and 6–10 kV incomers, commissioning of metering and DC supply, energised testing of the scheme.
- 07
Testing
Acceptance tests of transformers and 110, 35, 10 and 6 kV equipment.
- 08
Result
In 2025 the substation was put back into service after reconstruction: 40,000 kVA transformers, a new 110 kV outdoor switchyard, 35 kV indoor switchgear and 6–10 kV indoor switchgear.
